We want to share two news at once! First, The Village Petersburg published a cool article about the Park, codenamed “How to turn a Soviet park into a modern space”.
What has changed in the Park this summer and the beginning of autumn? We have held over 300 different events: from sports training in yoga, running, meditation, sup-surfing and fencing to amateur popular science lectures, football quizzes and gardening master classes.
In the Park, we have completely changed the design and text of information stands. The menacing, prescriptive tone gave way to a friendly-neutral tone, and instead of countless prohibitions, useful advice appeared, such as how to feed local squirrels and swans. Prohibiting signs on lawns have been replaced with permissive ones. Now they report that "you can have picnics on the grass, read and wallow all day."
One of the key tasks of the Park's renovation was food - so far, only hot corn points, ice cream carts and several kiosks with coffee and fast food have operated on the territory of the park. In the middle of summer, we launched cycle rickshaws, and by September we managed to create a full-fledged market with food trucks and kiosks from proven St. Petersburg gastronomic projects: Kazbegi, Street Suvid, Dishfish, Vaffel, Pizzeria Diego da Napoli, Yagoda coffee shops and others.
News number two - our food market "Harvest" finished its work yesterday! We thank the operators and guests - it was great, we will repeat it in winter
